What lab certification actually means

A lab certificate confirms a stone is natural rather than glass, synthetic, or heat-treated. It does not, on its own, guarantee astrological effectiveness — that's a matter of tradition and personal belief, not something a lab tests for. What certification does verify is authenticity: you're getting a real gemstone, not a substitute.

How to spot the difference yourself

• Natural stones have minor inclusions or imperfections — perfectly flawless, uniform beads are a red flag for glass or synthetic material
• Natural stones feel cool to the touch initially; synthetics warm up faster
